Currently sat waiting for a telephone appointment at 3.15pm it is now 3.30pm !!! I had an ultrasound scan on Thursday 11th ,my results came back to south Milford surgery Monday morning (15th) I was told I couldn't have an appointment till 22nd ! I think it is appalling that I couldn't get an appointment to speak with a GP face to face about my results, this is the last straw with this surgery ,you can never get an appointment last time I had an appointment the GP was 30mins late seeing me & gave no apology , I've been a patient for 40yrs & I feel its such a shame to see the surgery run in this manor ! BTW it's now 3.45 pm & STILL no phone call !

Up to the new system for appointments being put in I would have recommended 100% as doctors and staff are lovely. However to now get an appointment is appalling. You ring in the morning then have to wait for the nurse to ring you back....after a telephone assessment she will decide if you are ALLOWED and appointment. I can not see how a nurse being on the phone all day can be efficient plus by the time she has rung patients back then the doctors could have seen numerous patients. Terrible system which offers no customer service. Do not register with this surgery....go somewhere else until they sort themselves out.

The system of trying to get an appointment is terrible. It's so difficult when you are working to try and get through on the phone. It often takes at least forty minutes to finally get through then to be told there are no appointments or you have to have a nurse ring you back to triage your symptoms. Again if you are at work, in an office, in a meeting or in a call centre or on a factory line this is really difficult as you don't know when you are going to get called back and could easily miss the call. This is only ok for older people who don't work or other people who are not working. We work! Why is it so difficult for us. And yes we do drag ourselves to work when we are poorly because we have to earn a living! There are also not enough appointments in the evening for people that do work and definitely not enough surgery openings in Micklefield. Anyway, enough of my moaning, back to pressing the redial button to try and get through. My blood pressure is sky high!

I can't fault my local doctors surgery in South Milford, they always do the best they can to accommodate your needs, even if they're busy and always offer excellent and useful advice. I like that the surgery has moved forward with telephone booking and triages, as this makes the process of using the surgery more efficient for both staff and patients. It makes me appreciate my local surgery more.

Regarding the website 1. Need to post Christmas opening hours. 2. Direct to out of hours contact. 3. Make a link to local pharmacies. ** especially the one next door. 4. Update Patient Survey Request... surely it should be 2015 not 2014? The reason I checked the site today was to find out what the opening hours of the Pharmacy and Surgery.
